My work is drawn from centuries of my Nordic ancestry — the northern woods, the landscape & the light, and the long tradition of making things with care, skill and purpose.

Each piece is hand built and fired in my studio at a minimum 2167°F. Sculptural works are guided by intuitive sculpting and carving techniques, while vessel forms are shaped through traditional coiling and pinching. Working closely with the clay’s natural characteristics, I shape each piece using my hands and simple tools, which gives the work an organic, tactile feel.

My pieces are finished using a layered approach that combines glazes I’ve refined through years of testing, materials gathered from nature, and other techniques I’ve developed over time. It’s a slow, patient process, but it’s what gives each piece its character.
