Last week we explored the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was one of the most stunning landscapes I’ve explored. One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to find that one spot that makes me feel tiny. It’s just one of those things that puts everything back into perspective.. The whole drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway is breathtaking, but I highly recommend the scenic Linn Cove Viaduct. It will not disappoint!
I put together this photo entry in hopes of inspiring you to take a road trip to go see this beautiful place. Even if you stay for just a night, I consider it a must-see. Especially in Autumn! I don’t think we could’ve chosen a more perfect time to visit. The colors were soo rich and drenched in warmth. So naturally, I took tons of photos!
I photographed a variety of locations, weather, and tones (we even got to see some snow flurries!) as the leaves continued to change, which made for a very dynamic set of photos day-to-day. One day the colors held more fiery, vibrant reds, while the next it looked as if the trees had bathed in liquid gold. That said, I’m going to share a few of my favorites below and the rest over on Instagram through the next few weeks.
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
PS. Is post-travel blues an actual thing? By the time we got back, I was already conjuring up our next road trip. I was so happy to be home (read: hello big comfy bed and nice warm bubble bath!) but not quite ready to give up the adventures, so I see another in our near future!! ; )
I’d love to hear your recommendations! Where is the place to be in November or December? Comment below and let me know! : )
